We are Remarkable Speech + Movement!

We are driven to help people learn to communicate and speak for themselves.

  • We enjoy seeing children express their ideas and show us another side to who they are with effective speech pathology!

Holistic care.

  • We work with other speech pathologists, occupational therapists, psychologists, paediatricians, ear nose and throat specialists, neurologists and others to meet your goals.

Ability to deliver services that work.

  • We know the importance of functional goal setting, using research based programs to meet these goals and intensive treatment to achieved the remarkable results we all seek. Our service allows us to deliver research based assessment and therapy working with families so we can meet our goals.

Our work brings us joy.

  • Despite our research, clinical education and teaching backgrounds, working with clients is what brings us energy and joy!

Each person is unique so our toolkits are full for what you might need.

We are also experienced and well trained in

  • helping children develop first words,

  • develop clear speech sounds

  • put sentences together,

  • follow instructions,

  • read, spell and write and

  • speak naturally with a clear voice

  • help people communicate using signs, visuals and high tech talking devices

  • stuttering

  • voice problems

Experienced staff who are well trained.

  • We love learning. We  teach and coach each other and get external training to help our clients achieve the best outcomes possible

We exist because there are few clinics in Australia and worldwide that work with children with motor speech disorders.

  • childhood apraxia of speech - where children have no physical differences but have difficulty planning the movements for what they want to say,

  • dysarthria - including speech in people with syndromes such as Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, and genetic conditions who have physical difficulties moving for speech

  • speech motor delay - children with motor or movement based difficulties that would benefit from motor therapy but we're not sure if they will have trouble long term yet.

(from 2008).

  • Dr Elizabeth Murray turned her sole trader business into Remarkable Speech + Movement so we could help more people.

Our Team is Your Team!
Our speech pathologists and allied health assistants work together to deliver remarkable services for you

You have one primary team member who is your main contact and the person who helps you with reviews and goal setting BUT, you also can:

  • change therapists block to block as needed and see the best person on the team suited to your child's current goal/s

  • have sessions across a week with different therapists using the same program for greater intensity, consistency and to meet your availability

  • get advice from the whole brains trust! When we have a question we help each other find an answer and use research evidence to provide the best services we can.
